The History of Worcester Bosch
What is the history of Worcester Bosch? Worcester Bosch has grown and developed over the years, with newer, more technical boilers and heating systems being produced along the way. Worcester Engineering first came to light in the 1960s, in post-war Britain. This decade was a time period of challenges and innovation, becoming the start of the Worcester Bosch timeline.
Fast forward to the 1970s – Worcester Bosch took the business forward by creating lucrative new opportunities for the company. Heatslave and Danesmoo are on the list of new boilers that the company began to produce for homeowners.
By 1973, boilers started relying on gas to operate instead of oil – this changed Worcester Bosch’s designs for the foreseeable. In the mid-1980s, the company had to overcome water bye-law objections which resulted in the production of the space-saving Combi boiler concept.
As years went on, the Bosch Group continued designing new concepts. Once the 1990s came around, the company marked the opening of the advanced new production facilities located at Warndon, on the outskirts of the city.
It was only in 1992 that Worcester Heat Systems joined forces with the Bosch Group – this is when Worcester Bosch was formed. Between the years 1990 to 1998, Worcester Bosch created five new boiler models.
From 2000 up until now, Worcester Bosch has put in over two decades of hard work. They first addressed climate change as they entered the new millennium, coming up with products that assist the installer whilst giving the consumer the greatest comfort.
Customers have always been at the forefront of Worcester Bosch. 2010 was the year of investing in consumer advertising, which later won the company the Which Awards. It was in 2010 that Worcester Bosch celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Fast forward to the present day – Worcester Bosch has campaigned across the UK, with more customers than ever before. Boilers, heating systems and accessories are sold up and down the country, with most homeowners being aware of the company’s success.
